Branding + Merchandise
Brian "Big Beauty" Mowry is a professional boxer based in Pittsburgh, PA. I worked with him on an array of shirt designs that included a custom illustration of himself, his headshots, and his nickname in the ring, Big Beauty. The origin of his name comes from being over 6'7" with a face that rarely gets marked by opponents.
IN THE RED CORNER...
Brian chose red as his primary color. His illustrated image would use this for iconic red boxing gloves and his shorts.
As a call out to Pittsburgh pride that "bleeds black and gold," I included a deep yellow for pops in between the duo-toned photography.
CUSTOM ILLUSTRATION
Brian is, at his core, a goofball. He wanted to reflect that in his branding, despite being a towering, heavyweight boxer.
The main brand mark for this series of logos and applications included this illustration of Brian and his nickname.
ALTERNATIVE BRAND MARKS
T-SHIRT DESIGNS
The main application of any of the logos would be for t-shirt merch to be sold at matches or on Brian's Instagram.
